Reclaim Your Life with Chronic Illness Coaching
Living with a chronic illness can feel like an endless cycle of exhaustion, frustration, and uncertainty. You might feel like you're constantly adjusting to new limitations, struggling to manage your energy, or questioning how to balance your health with the life you want to live. It’s isolating to feel like no one truly understands the daily challenges you face—especially when well-meaning advice doesn’t apply to your reality.
With personalized one-on-one coaching, you’ll have a space where your experiences are seen, validated, and supported. Together, we’ll focus on what you can do—not just what illness has taken away. Whether you’re navigating symptom management, building sustainable habits, or redefining your goals, coaching gives you practical strategies to create a life that works for you, not against you.
Drawing from my background in psychology, chronic illness coaching, and behavioral change strategies, I bring a compassionate, holistic approach to support you in feeling more confident, capable, and in control. This isn’t about pushing through or pretending illness doesn’t exist—it’s about learning to work with your body, reclaiming your sense of self, and building a foundation for a life that feels fulfilling and aligned with your values.
Let’s redefine what thriving looks like—on your terms.
What Do We Do in Coaching?
Coaching is about action, growth, and creating meaningful change—even in the face of chronic illness. While your condition may shape your experience, it doesn’t have to define your entire life. Our work together focuses on practical strategies, mindset shifts, and personalized solutions that help you navigate daily challenges while moving toward the life you want.
Here’s what coaching can help you with:
✅ Build Sustainable Daily Habits – We’ll create routines that fit your energy levels, including strategies for sleep, movement, nutrition, and self-care that support your well-being without overwhelm.
✅ Manage Flare-Ups & Symptoms More Effectively – Learn to identify triggers, pace yourself to prevent crashes, and develop a toolkit for navigating difficult days with more ease.
✅ Reduce Stress & Build Resilience – Explore stress management techniques, mindfulness strategies, and mindset shifts that help you feel more in control—even when uncertainty arises.
✅ Create Lasting Behavior Change – We’ll break down your goals into small, achievable steps and work through obstacles that may have held you back in the past. This is about consistency, not perfection.
✅ Balance Work, Life, and Health – Whether you’re juggling a career, relationships, or personal projects, we’ll develop strategies to help you protect your time and energy while staying engaged in what matters most.
✅ Navigate Relationships & Set Boundaries – Learn how to communicate your needs with confidence, set clear boundaries, and build a support system that truly understands and respects your experience.
✅ Rediscover Your Identity & Sense of Purpose – Illness can change the way you see yourself. Coaching helps you reconnect with who you are beyond your diagnosis, so you can live a life aligned with your values.
✅ Stay Motivated & Accountable – Through coaching, you’ll gain the support, structure, and encouragement to follow through on changes that feel right for you—at a pace that respects your body’s needs.
Coaching is not about “fixing” yourself—it’s about empowering you with the tools, strategies, and mindset shifts to create a life that works for you. No more struggling alone or feeling stuck. Together, we’ll build a plan that feels supportive, realistic, and aligned with what you want for your future.
Work with me.
Choosing to work with me means stepping into a coaching journey designed specifically for you—your body, your needs, and your life with chronic illness. My approach is holistic and integrative, blending evidence-based strategies with deep personal insight to help you navigate the complexities of living with long-term health challenges. Together, we won’t just focus on symptom management—we’ll work toward building a life that feels sustainable, fulfilling, and aligned with your values.
This coaching isn’t about pushing through or ignoring your limits. It’s about working with your body, honoring your needs, and developing the tools to create meaningful change. Whether you’re struggling with energy management, stress, self-advocacy, or redefining your sense of self, our work together will help you cultivate confidence, resilience, and self-compassion.
If you’ve been feeling stuck—frustrated by patterns that keep repeating or by goals that feel just out of reach—my role is to help you reconnect with your strengths, uncover new possibilities, and take action in a way that feels right for you. Coaching isn’t just about overcoming obstacles; it’s about creating a life that truly supports your well-being and the things that matter most to you.
Coaching vs. Psychotherapy: What’s the Difference?
Coaching and psychotherapy are not the same, and it’s important to understand the distinction. While both can be valuable, they serve different purposes and approaches.
✅ Coaching is action-oriented and focused on the present and future. It’s about helping you develop strategies, build resilience, and create sustainable changes in your daily life. We may explore patterns from your past for clarity and insight, but the goal is always to move you forward with practical, tangible tools. Coaching does not involve case notes, medical documentation, or diagnosis, as it is not a healthcare service.
❌ Coaching is NOT psychotherapy. It does not involve processing traumatic memories, treating mental health conditions such as PTSD, complex PTSD, major depression, or anxiety disorders. Coaching is not a substitute for therapy or medical treatment. If you require mental health support for trauma, significant emotional distress, or clinical concerns, therapy with a licensed professional is the appropriate path.
Coaching is not just about talking—it’s about equipping you with real-world strategies that help you navigate your life with more confidence, ease, and clarity. If you’re unsure whether coaching is the right fit for you, let’s chat and find the best path forward.
Is Coaching a Good Fit For Me?
Living with a chronic illness affects so many areas of life—your sense of self, relationships, career, daily routines, personal goals, and overall well-being. It can impact your confidence, energy, ability to plan for the future, and how you relate to the world around you. Coaching is designed to support you in navigating these challenges with practical tools, mindset shifts, and personalized strategies to help you move forward.
In our initial consultation and first session, we’ll work together to define meaningful goals based on your unique experiences, challenges, and aspirations. Coaching is a collaborative process, and it requires your commitment and active participation. This means being open to exploring new perspectives, trying out strategies, and making small but impactful changes that align with your values and lifestyle.
If at any point I believe that you would be better supported by a therapist, medical provider, or another professional, I will be transparent about that and will do my best to help you find the right resources.
Who Coaching Is For
Coaching is a great fit if you:
✔ Are ready to take action to improve your quality of life within your current health circumstances
✔ Are seeking support for managing energy, stress, habits, or life balance with chronic illness
✔ Want to feel more confident in self-advocacy, decision-making, and life planning
✔ Are able to engage in a structured, goal-oriented approach to change
Who Coaching Is Not For
For coaching to be safe and effective, you must meet the following criteria:
❌ You are not experiencing active suicidal ideation or in need of crisis intervention
❌ You have a primary healthcare provider overseeing your medical needs
❌ You are living in a safe, non-abusive environment
❌ Your basic needs (food, shelter, stability) are being met
❌ You are actively managing your health (following prescribed medical advice and treatment regimens)
❌ You are not experiencing active psychosis or major dissociation
Coaching can be a powerful tool for change, but it is not a substitute for mental health treatment, crisis support, or medical care.
